Portofino
Portofino is one of the most well-known coastal villages on the Ligurian Riviera; it is nested in a picturesque creek in the Portofino promontory,which separates 2 Gulfs: Tigullio and Paradiso. Portofino history was strictly bound to the destiny of Genoa, at the time Maritime Republic,until the tourism industry discovered Portofino’s astonishing beauty at the end of the 18th century.
From then on the well-known “piazzetta” surrounded by the houses coloured in Genoese styleis the holiday destination of many VIPs from all over the world.
Genova
The heart of the town is its historical centre, the largest in Europe, closedbetween the sea and the hills; here majestic and splendid palaces rise between narrow alleys in a bustling atmosphere.

In 1997 the Cinque Terre were declared world heritage site. If you visit this area you will for sure understandwhy. Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza e Monterosso, are the 5 villages overlooking the sea from a steep coast. In the past the inhabitants worked hard to build dry-stone walls in order to turn an inaccessible territory into an astonishingand beautiful landscape, where they tenaciously cultivate some varieties of vineyards in order to produce renowned wines.
Camogli Social Theatre
Inaugurated on the 30th of September, 1876, Camogli Social Theatre is an example of teatro all’italiana, with horse shoe diagram with 4 orders of balconies and gallery.Camogli’s Theatre was commissioned by 60 families of the local bourgeoisie that directly or indirectly made their fortune with the sea,in a period in which Camogli was called “the city of the thousands white vessels” and was one of the major constructors and ship owners of that time.
After years of closure,thanks to the birth in 2002 of theFondazione Teatro Sociale promoted by the box holders, descendants of the historic owners, the Social Theatre was brought to its full recovery and structural adjustment.On the 30th September 2016 (exactly 140years from its opening!) the Social Theatre finally reopenedand fully resumed its activity.
